Episode 1: Lexus LFA "Spring Hare"

Welcome, dear reader, to my very first NFS World car review. Our very first subject is the newly released Lexus LFA "Spring Hare". Now, let's see why you should save your SpeedBoost.

1. The price
This special edition car costs 6,200 SpeedBoost. That's 1,100 SB more than the regular SB-version. What do I get for that price? Well, let's see:
  • A unique livery

Let's be honest here, that livery actually looks nice. Well, apart from the cheezy Easter stuff. The grey-blue-white combination works well on the car, and it's simply a good combination.
  • Aftermarket parts
Not a lot of them though. You get the obligatory level 3 lowering kit, black tint, a Glint spoiler, and a unique "3AST3R" license plate.
This, however, does not fit the car at all. Well, it does fit the cheezy Easter theme, but the color simply sticks out.
  • Performance parts
...race tuned ones. Yeah, not a lot of power there, with a G-B-G-G-R-R combination, whatever the hell that means.
  • Skill mods
The usual set, the one you can find on most SB-only cars. 14-14% Super Shot, 19-19% Extended NOS, and a 9% Socialite. The usual stuff.
  • The car itself and the slot
2. The performance
Despite its flashy looks, it's still an LFA. It might seem fast, but it's quite slow for its class. It handles decently, it's definitely not a boat, but it's still has a bit of understeer. Acceleration-wise - pretty mediocre in my opinion.

3. Why shouldn't you get it?
The main reason: it's currently available for IGC, so if you have the car slot for it, and the 2 million cash, just get that, if you really want an LFA.
But what about the looks?
With a bit of patience, it can be easily replicated, for the most part, here's mine for example:
It might be missing some stuff, but that's because of the vinyl layer limitations.

But what about the skill mods?
For this car - it doesn't really matter, simple as that. Sure, they're nice, but you wouldn't get a car because it's got good skill mods in it, would you?
But what about the AM parts?
A Glint spoiler - that'd set you back 800 SB.
A black tint - you probably have at least 3 of that anyway, all of them dropped from various events, but if you want to look at the numbers, that'd be 400 SB.
A level 3 lowering kit - you probably also have at least 5 of this. Price, anyway - 800 SB.
The unique plate - yeah, you can't really get that from anywhere else (maybe from the Easter AM pack), but there's a very similar plate for top-up right now, if you want to make a close replica.
All things considered, not really worth it getting for the AM parts.
But what about the performance parts?
Now this is an interesting part. The Spring Hare is in class S, with those parts. In that class, this car gets utterly destroyed. So, you're actually better off with getting the stock one and tuning it to the top of class A, where it only gets slightly smashed by most opponents.
But if you really want to get those parts, you can get them from events or Treasure Hunt fairly easily.

And that's basically it, folks. If you want yourself an LFA, get the one for IGC, which is currently available. It's free, it's more competitive, but if you want the looks so badly, you can always make a replica - that's even an added fun.

-BF out.
